I had big plans for this summer.
In my head, I was going to post so much more here on the blog. I had a whole list of recipe ideas, gardening tips, and family updates I wanted to share. I imagined myself typing away during peaceful afternoons while the kids played happily in the yard, the garden quietly thriving, and life falling into a slow, simple rhythm.

But, as you probably already guessed, real life had other plans.
Summer with a toddler and a busy family is… well… not exactly slow. Between chasing little feet, making a million snacks a day, keeping up with garden harvests, and trying to squeeze in a little summer fun, my days have been full from sunup to sundown. Most nights, by the time the house is finally quiet, I’ve been too tired to even think about writing. And honestly, sometimes a bowl of ice cream and an episode of something mindless wins over a little too often.

The truth is, this summer has been busy in the best kind of way. Messy, loud, and full of memories. There’s been sticky popsicle hands, late night movie nights, and pool fun. I may not have posted as much as I planned, but I’ve been living the very moments, and I think that definitely counts for something.

Now, as summer starts winding down and life settles into a more predictable rhythm, I’m hoping to get back into writing here more regularly. I’ve got so many ideas tucked away, recipes to share, homemaking tips to write up, and a maybe a few funny toddler stories that deserve their own post!
So, here’s to the changing seasons, both in the weather and in life. Thanks for sticking around, friends. I can’t wait to catch up.
