There is nothing quite like Christmas shopping for a toddler.
It’s magical.
It’s adorable.
And it’s also… absolutely pointless because they will 100% abandon their brand-new toys for the wrapping paper, the boxes, and the leftover bows that somehow end up stuck to every surface in your home.
But we do it anyway, because of the pure joy we get to see on their faces as they open their gifts. That and it’s the one time of year we convince ourselves, “This gift will keep her entertained for HOURS.”
Here’s what’s going under the tree for my toddler this year, and why each thing was chosen with the precision of a mom who has too many kids and not enough sanity left to waste.
1. A Toniebox
This is the year. I’m officially entering my Toniebox Era.
It’s a screen-free, magical, storytelling cube that toddlers can work by themselves — which means I might actually get to drink a cup of coffee that’s still warm.
I already picked out a few figurines, because:
She’s obsessed. They’re adorable. And let’s be honest, figurines are basically toddler Pokémon. They must collect them all.

2. Toniebox Carrying Case (Because the Figurines Must Travel in Style)
I’m sure Toniebox figurines will eventually end up everywhere — under the couch, in the diaper bag, inside a shoe I didn’t know was missing.
So this year she’s getting a Toniebox carrying case, because:
She LOVES carrying things around like a tiny CEO and maybe, just possibly, this will prevent me from buying replacements every month.
Will she use it to haul around crackers, rocks, and one sock? Absolutely. And that’s okay!

3. A Farm Animal Set
This child LOVES farm animals.
She can moo. She can neigh. She can bawk.
So naturally, she’s getting a full farm-animal set so she can reenact her own barnyard musical on the living room floor.
Will the tiny cow end up in her daddy’s boot? Without question.
Will the pig go missing for six months and reappear under the couch? Absolutely.
Will she love it? 100%. And that’s all that matters!

4. Clothes
I’m convinced toddlers grow half an inch every time they take a nap. So yes, clothes are happening.
Cute little outfits. Cozy pajamas.
Will she prefer to run around half-naked in one sock instead? Of course she will. We know this. And yet here we are.

5. Cow Slippers (Because She Needs to Match Her Personality)
There is no practical reason for this gift. Except they are adorable. And she loves cows.
I simply could not resist. Toddler in cow slippers = Christmas joy unlocked.

6. A Car Mat Rug with Roads
This is for her AND for my feet, because apparently the universe wants me to step on tiny cars every day of my life.
But she loves zooming them around, and having a designated rug might possibly reduce the number of Hot Wheels I step on at 6 a.m.

7. A Few Mystery Add-Ons (AKA: Whatever She Points At in the Store)
Let’s be honest… there will be more. There’s always more. A bubble machine? A musical toy that I’ll regret immediately? A stuffed animal that becomes her emotional support sidekick?
It’s Christmas. I’m weak. I own that.
Final Thoughts from This Very Tired Mom
Toddlers don’t need much for Christmas. But the magic? The squeals? The chaos?Worth every minute. Even if the wrapping paper ends up being the real MVP.
And if you’re a busy mom doing your best — buying gifts in the school pickup line, wrapping at midnight, hiding things in the closet behind the winter coats — just know:
You’re doing amazing. Your toddler will love it!
Happy Shopping
